Selam, friends
Does anyone have any details of the markings, camouflage or serial numbers of the three Blenheim IVs that served with the THK between 1943 and 1948? I can find nothing on the web in English.
Many Thanks
Hoscakal

Rob,
So far there are only a few photographs of Turkish Blenheim Mk.IV's in existence, most of them taken before they were scrapped in the late 1940's. All of them suggest a dark camouflage scheme, unlike the RAF desert camouflage used on the Mk.Vs for instance.
The only photograph with a legible serial number belongs to "white 43". This Blenheim Mk.IV clearly has a dark camouflage scheme with black undersides. This makes perfect sense, considering that most of the Turkish Blenheim fleet seems to have been repainted in the RAF bomber camouflage of dark green/brown uppersides and black undersides at some point after 1942.
When I build my Turkish Blenheim Mk.IV, I will simply paint it in the standard RAF bomber scheme with black undersides & dark earth / green uppersides with the large, white serial number "43" on the rear fuselage. While we can probably never be completely certain (unless somebody finds a treasure trove of Turkish Blenheim photos in his grandfather's album), I believe this is a pretty accurate estimate. I suggest doing the same.
Hope this helps,
Kursad

Thank you very much, Kursad. I thought that the scheme seemed very dark (too dark for RAF desert camouflage) when I saw the photo on the Nikolajsen site. I will go with the colours you suggest.
