Elric karde?ler Edward ve Alphonse ölen annelerini diriltmek için simyaya ba?vururlar. Ama insan ruhu ile de?i?-toku? yapylacak e? de?erde bir ?ey bulunmamaktadyr. Deney syrasynda büyük karde? Edward baca?yny, küçük karde? Alphonse ise bedenini kaybeder. Edward elindeki son çareyi kullanyp Al’yn ruhunu bir zyrha ba?lamayy ba?aryr ama bu esnada da kolunu kaybeder.
